Bride Ashton’s wedding cowgirl boots with a beautiful DIY wedding bouquet at The Stables at Russell Crossroads in Alex City, AL. Daniel Taylor Photography
Daniel Taylor Photography hit the road over the weekend for a bridal session at one of our favorite rustic places, The Stables at Russell Crossroads. It’s about 90 minutes southeast of Birmingham on 280, near Alex City. Bride Ashton is one of the most fun, laid-back brides ever, and she’ll be marrying her fiance, Ryan, there next month. Linda, Harold, and Sarah at The Stables took great care of us and made sure Ashton’s session was perfect. If you’re looking for a great location for a bridal luncheon, rehearsal dinner, ceremony or reception, this is one fantastic choice.
We can’t show you much of the session yet, but Ashton did say it was OK to share her wedding cowboy boots and her bouquet. Daniel pulled out the Holga and my Nikon 6006 for a few photos, which are off to the lab.
What’s an outdoor session without animals, right? This nature-loving bride couldn’t wait to be photographed with the fainting goats at The Stables, and we did a few photographs with a horse, too. None of us realized, though, that the goats would go crazy for the lilies in the bouquet. Scroll down to check out what happened when Ashton, Daniel and Kelli got into the fainting goat pen. We’re happy to tell you that no goats, brides or photographers were harmed in the creation of this photo session.

We’re always so impressed by how well-cared-for the horses are at The Stables at Russell Crossroads. Daniel Taylor Photography

The moment we realized the fainting goats loved bridal bouquets. Kelli managed to keep the critters off the bride. during her photo session, that included a stop in their pen. Daniel Taylor Photography.
