It’s always a pleasure when Daniel Taylor Photography gets to be a part of a beautiful, classic wedding. Erin and Christopher’s elegant, timeless style made for a gorgeous wedding at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, with photos that will be just as stunning in 30 years as they are today. Erin was so great to work with because of her genuine appreciation for great photography. We love it when clients appreciate the details as much as we do!
Erin made an absolutely radiant bride with help from hair and make-up guru Melissa Moore Bogardus of Joyce’s Formals Salon. The bride’s lovely bouquet and those striking red roses adorning the iron crosses on the church doors were created by our friend J. Ross of Norton’s. The couple held their reception at the church with a beyond delicious menu from Cafe Iz featuring several recreated Louisiana family recipes! Needless to say, the food didn’t last long. The couple’s elegant cakes, including the bride’s cake decorated with their monogram, was from Magnificent Cakes. At the end of the night, the always terrific Ron Marko of Vintage Auto helped Erin and Christopher escape in a rockin’ getaway car, and our friends at Main Street Productions captured the day’s memories in a heartfelt video.
One of our favorite parts of the day was shooting an intimate after-session at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens with Erin and Christopher. The photos turned out absolutely gorgeous, if we do say so ourselves :). Erin was inspired by an after-session we did with Brian and Rachel, so we tailored a session to her style. You’d never know it from the photos, but it was pretty frigid weather that day! We were trying our best to wrap her up between shots, but Erin was a fabulous trooper. We honestly don’t think whining is part of her vocabulary. Congratulations to Erin and Christopher! We were so honored to be part of your big day.
