Daniel and I had so much fun popping into the Wynfrey Hotel’s Elegant Weddings bridal show this afternoon. Felt like we were in New York for a minute … Our friend Heather Dill, who organizes  the weddings and cool events at the hotel, always does an incredible job. People rave about the experiences. Check out a few images that Daniel took at the very cool fashion show.

Disclaimer: We were not official photographers or anything, but everything was so gorgeous Daniel couldn’t resist! Daniel Taylor Photography is always ready with a camera. All the models were gorgeous and we just loved seeing model May Watts for the first time.

Our friends Cathy and Carolyn Kelley, of the The White Room bridal salon in Cahaba Heights, provided the gorgeous bridal gowns for the show. Their service is second-to-none and all our brides who use them adore them. Seriously, not kidding.

I’m proud to introduce my guest blogger for today, my husband, Daniel Taylor, of Daniel Taylor Photography. Imagine the post with an irresistible Aussie accent!

It was time to update my editorial portfolio so I called on model Keeley Patterson to collaborate on a fashion editorial photo shoot at  the fantastic Aloft hotel in Homewood, AL. I had a blast working with Keeley, she’s versatile and very professional, hopefully we can work together again soon.

After scouting the spacious light- filled lobby I got inspired to shoot a Travel+Leisure magazine cover look, like the one below, shot by one of my favorite photographers John Huba.

The majority of the session was shot on film with my trusty Mamiya RZ 67. The film is winging it’s way to Richard Photo Lab in California, so in the meantime here’s a few digital previews. I think we got some great photos. A big thanks to Aloft for allowing us to use their super stylish lobby. Generation Dog pet store, which has special offers with the pet-friendly Aloft, generously provided the leash and collar for Scarlett the basset.
