A classic porch-singing moment from The Andy Griffith Show.
Y’all know that here at Daniel Taylor Photography, we preach the gospel of personal, meaningful engagement sessions. So we were tickled as can be when bride-to-be Ashton told us she and future groom Ryan loved the country and wanted to do their engagement photos at Ryan’s family home near Lake Martin. These two immediately reminded us of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, complete with Ryan’s signature truck and ball cap, his guitar, and Ashton’s beautiful girly wedding boots. Heck, we even got to ride in the back of their pick-up truck as we drove all around the tranquil property. Ryan’s mom even plied us with THE BEST sweet tea.
When we saw the porch, it was like something out of the great Southern classic TV comedy, The Andy Griffith Show when Andy would play guitar on the front porch at night. We had to put him there with Ashton to recreate one of those terrific TV moments. It was so great we even pulled out the Nikon 6006 for a few film photos!
Ashton is all about DIY and Etsy, so she was brimming with details for their engagement session, as well as her bridal session earlier that morning at The Stables at Russell Lands, truly one of the best places on earth. And yes, this is the site of the now-famous fainting goat episode, where two goats climbed on Kelli trying to get a nibble of Ashton’s bridal bouquet.
