As Daniel Taylor Photography has grown through this industry, we’ve been extremely fortunate to meet and become friends with lots of wedding vendors. These people are serious masters of their crafts. Working with them has taught us about perfecting your business and caring for your clients, even when everything doesn’t go according to plan.
We take great pride in the fact that many of these vendors have taken notice of our own talent and work ethic. When we commit to a wedding, it’s extremely important to us to get to know the couple, so we can personalize sessions to their personalities, and suggest a few vendors we think may be right for them. Lots of times, on our first meetings, brides will ask, “What makes you different from other photographers?” Such a great question! There are many things that help us stand out from the crowd, but one that we’re particularly proud of is that wedding industry vendors choose our work for their own business ads, personal photo sessions, and professional photo sessions. Wedding experts feel that our work captures the unique essence of the time and effort they put in to make someone’s day special. To us, there is no greater compliment.
We want to say thank you to those skilled vendors who admire our work and have shared it with others. It’s an absolute honor to play in the same league as these top-notch professionals: M. Elizabeth Events, Anita Kanellis of AK Brides, Karrie York of Rosewood Hall, Paul and Courtney Bryant of Kinora Films, Rosewood in Pinson, Mandy Majerik of HotHouse Design Studio, Main Street Productions, and the Wynfrey Hotel.

Meghan Cease of M. Elizabeth Events is a dear friend of ours and one of the best in the business. We are always amazed by the beautiful job she does for her clients, and impressed by the work and dedication she puts in to make each event unique. We were super pumped when Meghan chose us for her brother, Alan, and new sister-in-law, Allison’s wedding. They are such a gorgeous, fun family, and we loved working with them. We held Alan and Allison’s rustic engagement session at lovely Swann Lake in Mountain Brook, and took Allison’s bridal portraits at the Cease family home in Shoal Creek. It couldn’t have been a better location. The intricate spiral staircase, European-inspired courtyard, and elegant interiors made for perfect portraits.

M. Elizabeth Events wows us every time with the work they do for their clients and we're honored Meghan chose a Lake Martin wedding we photographed for her clients to feature on her Facebook page . Cover photo by Daniel Taylor Photography.
Anita Kanellis of AK Brides is one of the nicest, most laid-back (not a term you hear every day for a planner!) wedding planners in Birmingham. We were thrilled when Anita trusted us to take her new head shots, especially when we found out she hates having photos taken of herself. We really wanted her to love not only her pictures, but also the experience. Guess what? We were two for two! Check out all of her gorgeous head shots here.

Rosewood Hall at SoHo in Homewood, Ala. is an outstanding venue with an amazing events director, Karrie York, whom we admire so much. Downtown Homewood is an uber chic area and Rosewood Hall always gets a 10 in our book for great service. The ultra cool Aloft Hotel is right across the street, which is a great convenience for guests. Karrie is fantastic when it comes to keeping events running smoothly. We were beyond thrilled when Karrie York of Rosewood Hall featured DTP in her lovely Perfect Wedding Guide magazine ad. It gets us every time that these outstanding vendors choose us over other talented photographers.

Daniel Taylor Photography appeared with Mandy Majerik of HotHouse Design Studio on national floral design blog, Flower Factor at AboutFlowersBlog.com, thanks to Mandy herself. Mandy penned the article about composite bouquets, while we captured her lovely work. Read more about Mandy Majerik and her amazing designs from an article our own Kelli Taylor wrote that was featured in the April issue of B-Metro magazine. Her gorgeous floral designs pop up at many of our weddings and always bring a beautiful dose of color and texture to the day.

Paul and Courtney Bryant of Kinora Films are some seriously talented filmmakers. We’ve seen weddings they’ve shot of couples we don’t even know, and Kelli is always bawling by the end. We know from experience that they can truly capture the emotion and excitement of a wedding day, so you can imagine our own warm feelings when they chose a photograph an anniversary session to feature on their web site. We took them to the quaint town of Mt Laurel and had a great time with these two self-proclaimed goofballs.

Rosewood Mansion in Pinson, Ala. is one of our favorite wedding venues. It has the ultimate southern charm and perfect scenery for outdoor ceremonies. The venue features everything from a rustic barn to beautiful, grand interiors, which is great for brides who want to add a little rustic vibe to their day. We were so honored when owner Renee Mikell chose one of our images to use in a full-page ad in the winter 2011 issue of Alabama Weddings magazine. AW is the go-to guide for Alabama brides so we couldn’t have been happier!

Main Street Productions wedding video services chose one of DTP’s photos to use in their “Who We Are” section on their website. The husband-and-wife team of John and Angela Deaver are such a fun, relaxed duo. They have a connection with their brides that I’ve never seen, and we’re so proud to call them friends. Oftentimes, video is one of the last vendors hired for a wedding, but Main Street is one of the only companies we know that is snatched up at the beginning of the planning process. The amazing, emotion-filled videos they produce not only show how talented they are, but also that they are willing to always put their clients first.

We are huge fans of Main Street Productions' work.
DTP loves all types of weddings, but we tend to squeal with excitement when we get to photograph an Indian or Pakistani ceremony. The gorgeous colors, interesting customs, and lively celebration are just so fun! And of course, make for amazing photos. The Wynfrey Hotel in Riverchase, Ala. is our go-to suggestion for Indian, Pakistani, and Hindu couples. The venue meticulously caters to the couples’ every need with awesome service, and the gorgeous ballroom is great to accommodate lots of guests. They are currently undergoing renovations and we know it will be just as spectacular. We were tickled when The Wynfrey Hotel chose two of our photos for an ad in Southern Bride magazine! We also want to give a much deserved shout out to Heather Dill of the Wynfrey for all her hard work. We had the pleasure of photographing family portraits of her, her daughter Katherine, and husband Steve earlier this month.
