B-Metro Power of Women Party Highlights

BMetro Magazine Women of Power-119

Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography, LLC had a blast at the 2014 B-Metro Power of Women Party Thursday night. We always look forward to B-Metro magazine’s year special issue that shines a spotlight on the accomplishments of women around the city. Kelli once again joined the B-Metro Blog Team to live-broadcast the event on social media in honor of this fantastic yearly celebration. If you haven’t seen it yet, be sure to check out the current B-Metro Women of Power issue. We think this year’s cover was especially gorgeous. Thanks to the magazine’s entire team for all the thought and hard work that went into the B-Metro Power of Women special issue and the terrific gathering.

Tons of Birmingham’s most incredible women came out to Vino in Mountain Brook for the fun, also sponsored by Alabama Power and Cadillac. Their words of wisdom, perceptiveness and inspiration were remarkable. Here are some highlights:

Wedding in Gallion, AL | Sneak Peek

Wedding in Gallion, AL

Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography just had to share a sneak peek from Lindsay and Brandon’s gorgeous outdoor Southern wedding in Gallion, AL. That’s near Demopolis and was at her parents’ private estate. We photographed this gem right after the lakeside wedding ceremony. Aren’t these two just a stunning couple? Stay tuned for more take-your-breath away loveliness. A big thanks to Rebecca of PEWS pew rentals in Birmingham for connecting us with this fabulous duo. We loved the incredible team of vendors who made the weekend so magical, including Lindsey’s Florist Shop of Demopolis.

Wedding at Birmingham Botanical Gardens AL

wedding at birmingham botanical gardens alSusan and Brendan’s  wedding at Birmingham Botanical Gardens was a dreamy afternoon to photograph for Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography. We’re still swooning from all the Magic City loveliness, y’all.  Susan chose an eye-catching Southern color palette for her wedding florals, perfect for us to capture beautifully on her candid wedding photos.

We just love when a bride chooses a wedding reception dress and we think this short flirty number was a wonderful choice, particularly for a garden wedding. And wasn’t Brendan’s gray suit setting the perfect tone for a garden fete?  And what better to set off pair of newlyweds than an elegant wedding getaway car?

This was a wedding full of love. Friends and family came from all over, as far away as Ireland. We couldn’t wait to share a sneak peek. A huge thank you to our recent bride Ryan for the wonderful recommendation. The top-notch vendor team included several of our favorite wedding pros:

Wedding reception venue and catering: The Gardens Cafe by Kathy G and Co.

Florals: KG Designs by Kathy G. Vintage getaway car: Helen from Birmingham Bridal Carriages.

Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography is super excited to wish Danielle and Stephen a happy anniversary and take a look back at their Samford Reid Chapel wedding.  We were so happy when the fantastic Borrowed and Blue Birmingham wedding blog asked us to feature their Samford wedding. The two are Samford University scientist alums who fell in love — no love potion required — and tied the knot at the beautiful campus chapel.

We were swooning over the soft, pastel color palette put together by Ginny Au, the event designer and stylist behind this gorgeous day. The theme included Danielle and Stephen’s love of literature and touches of the South. Centerpieces of vintage books, ribbon, and silver mint julep cups made The Veranda on Highland sparkle. Did we mention how wonderful The Veranda’s progressive Southern cuisine was? Simply to die for.

Here’s wishing Danielle and Stephen a lifetime of happiness.
