You know it’s going to be a fun bridal session when the bride chooses one of Daniel Taylor Photography’s favorite locations: B&A Warehouse. With its warm, sophisticated, wine-bar feel, the location offered tons of great spots and textures that highlighted already-stunning bride Angela’s beauty. Angela was wonderful to work with, and we have to give a big thanks to Susan Sargent Mason of B&A for recommending us. The bride also wanted a few bridal photos with her two cute dogs, Shelby and Ally. Dogs are always an awesome addition in our opinion!
Angela and her (new!) husband Jason tied the knot last night with a lovely ceremony and reception at B&A Warehouse. Congrats to the newlyweds! We were thrilled to be part of their celebration. And take a peek at their Sloss Furnaces engagement session!

When a fabulous couple picks a fabulous location for their engagement session, we at Daniel Taylor Photography are just giddy. Nothing could have been truer with Angela and Jason, who held their oh-so-chic engagement photo session at the industrial Sloss Furnaces in Birmingham, Ala. They even included their adorable pup Shelby in the engagement fun. A couple after our own hearts!

Angela and Jason are so obviously in love, they were a cinch to photograph. It seems hard to imagine one without the other. We loved how the couple planned coordinating outfits for the session, without being overly matchy. You could tell they put thought into their location. They donned colors and textures that really worked well and popped against the historical background. We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to think about little details like that, so you can get the most out of your engagement photos. Of course, we could never forget about little Shelby, who was excellent in front of the camera, and brightened the mood with her undeniable cuteness.
We can’t wait for Angela and Jason’s beautiful wedding at B&A Warehouse, which is today! Must give a shout-out to Susan Sargent Mason of B&A for the referral. It’s always an honor when well-respected venues choose to recommend us after working with so many photographers firsthand. Congrats to Angela and Jason! Thanks for letting us share in your day!

Y’all know from previous posts how much we adore our friend and floral designer extraordinaire Mandy Majerik of HotHouse Design Studio. Her sheer talent and outstanding eye for floral design is one of the best we’ve seen. B-Metro magazine in Birmingham, Ala. featured an article in their April issue on the flower guru, and we couldn’t have been more proud to be a part of it. The article touches on Mandy’s fashion-forward style, extensive social media presence (including her awesome blog), and success as a third-generation florist running her business in Birmingham. As a long-time vendor and friend of DTP, we were ecstatic to share her success, and would happily recommend her services to anyone. Mandy has been a major part of making many weddings that we photographed beautiful. Mattie and George’s blue-and-yellow fete was held at the always fabulous Rucker Place in Birmingham, Ala. The gorgeous, vibrant florals were courtesy of Laure Friedman of LSL Event Design, and tasty food by Savoie Catering was enjoyed by all. Mattie’s hair and make-up were by the incomparable Melissa Moore Bogardus of Joyce’s Formals Salon. The beautiful and delicious cake was by our friends at Olexa’s, and guests danced the night away thanks to Alabama-based bluegrass band, Act of Congress. Thanks to our friends at Coats Classic Cars for whisking the couple away after their reception in a stunning vintage car! driven by our favorite chauffeur in stilettos, Diana Kenndy.
