Engagement photos in Nashville, TN

Nashville TN engagement with canoe-01Nashville TN engagement with canoe-02Nashville TN engagement with canoe-03Nashville TN engagement with canoe-04Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography, LLC, couldn’t have been more tickled when Savannah and Dylan took us up on our offer to do their engagement photos in Nashville, TN. Well, technically, these particular ones are engagement photos in Franklin, TN, but we’ll show you the downtown Nashville photos and the ones in nearby Leiper’s Fork a little later.

You may have seen our giddy social media posts when Savannah first messaged us, asking if they could bring their own canoe to the engagement photo session. Let’s just say we were jumping around like crazy people when they didn’t mind driving three hours to The Music City. And kudos to Dylan for visiting, like, 17 stores to find a set of wooden paddles that would complete the rustic look. This man loves his woman, y’all. And it’s that kind of attention to detail and planning that elevates great photos to incredible ones like these.

Needless to say, this adorable couple is as into photos as we are, so we’re beyond honored to be documenting this special time in their lives. And big-time air kisses to our 2013 bride Callie for recommending Savannah and Dylan to us.

Want to know more about our extended, destination engagement photos? We’ve met clients in great cities like New York, Chicago, Indianapolis, New Orleans and Nashville for and unforgettable experience with your engagement photos.

KDTP Groom is James Beard Chef Semifinalist

SpringHouse restaurant So it’s a pretty cool day when you hear the news that a Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography, LLC, groom is a semifinalist for an incredibly prestigious James Beard Foundation chef’s award.

Chef Rob McDaniel is one of our 2011 grooms, a fabulous fete with I Do! I Do! Wedding Planing featuring his Pinterest sesation bacon groom’s cake by Dreamcakes. He’s also the talent behind one of Alabama’s best restaurants, SpringHouse restaurant in Alex City. The news was announced that the James Beard Foundation has named him a semifinalist for Best Chef in the South region. Read the complete media release here.

Daniel has photographed Rob at the restaurant several times for magazine articles and Kelli has written stories about him, but one of our favorite experiences was when he and his awesome wife, Emily, a sales an marketing rock star, invited us to their lakefront home for dinner and a peek into their off time. We also combined that with an anniversary photo session. Needless to say, it was one of the best meals of our lives. And we loved cuddling on Miss Lilly!

Meanwhile, our drama queen basset hound Scarlett piddled on the McDaniels’ living room rug and barked mercilessly while we tried to visit. They were beyond gracious and made us feel like it REALLY wasn’t a big deal. The McDaniels are good people, y’all.

We wish Rob all the best in the final round of the competition. He is truly an Alabama treasure.

Happy Mardi Gras, y’all!

weddings in New Orleans

Wedding at Pavilion of Two Sisters NOLA

Mardi Gras has us feeling all nostalgic here at Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography, LLC. We’ve had the pleasure of photographing some fabulous weddings in New Orleans and Mobile, and we can’t wait to get back to both this year for our 2015 wedding line-up.

Those stunning Jimmy Choos are from Heather’s wedding to John in NOLA, photographed at the gorgeous Terrell House bed and breakfast in the Garden District. The romantic moonlit kiss is at Pavilion of the Two Sisters in New Orleans City Park, a fantastic choice for a wedding. M. Elizabeth Events masterminded this gorgeous destination wedding fete and we were thrilled to be part of it.

Kelli + Daniel Taylor| Best Bridesmaids Photos 2014

Hey there newly engaged brides! Welcome to our site. Call or text us at 205-478-8019 or send us a note to see if your date is still available! We’d love to talk about beautiful wedding photography that reflects your personal style and captures the personal feel of your special day.

Kelli + Daniel Taylor Photography, LLC met some pretty fantastic bridesmaids during our wedding photography adventures this year and we’re excite to show off some of our best bridesmaids photos of 2014.

We want to thank every tall bridesmaid who helped Kelli hang dresses, the ones who calmed nerves, helped us stay on schedule or find wandering family members, along with the funny ladies who brought laughs and smiles exactly when everyone needed them.

We also loved the bridesmaids’  fashion trends for 2014. In 2014, the bridesmaids were some of the loveliest ever. We saw them wearing loads of pink, dreamy blues, sunny yellows and metallic accents in gold, silver, bronze and metallic mixes. Bridesmaids really set the tone for the wedding and 2014 was a killer year.

We gave an honorary bridesmaids’ award to beautiful Nigerian bride U.D.’s family members, who wore native African dresses to her incredible Tutwiler Hotel wedding — without a doubt, one of our favorites of the year. There is nothing we love more than cultural and family traditions sparkling in a wedding day.

New York City bride Eunice brought some East Coast style to Birmingham for her multi-city wedding with a set of exquisite clutch purses for her yellow-clad bridesmaids, a fresh twist on the classic bridesmaids’ bouquets.
