Half of Daniel Taylor Photography hails from Birmingham, Alabama, or ‘Bama as we say down here. The other half is an adopted Southerner via Australia, and we couldn’t love it more. That being said, we work with lots of fabulous Southern clients! From elegant Spanish Moss in New Orleans and Mobile, to DIY details with fresh cotton and monograms, to cowboy boots galore, these modern-day Southern belles know how to put on a beautiful wedding that shows their roots with their own personal style.
We’ve had the privilege to photograph a number of gorgeous outdoor Southern weddings and engagement sessions. We love the rustic feel they have while still being elegant. Southern affairs also seem to let the couple’s personality shine through. It gives a true reflection of what they care about, where they came from, and shows their love is just as strong in a casual environment.

Heather and John

Mattie and George’s wedding at Rucker Place in Birmingham was bursting with Southern details. We loved the floating tea lights in the garden, and the pair even served fried green tomatoes to their guests. Doesn’t get much more Southern than that!

Holly and Murray took their Point Clear, Ala. wedding at The Grand way down South to the beach. It was a perfect day for an outdoor ceremony and The Grand hotel has picturesque landscapes. The couple had a rustic Southern engagement session as well. We loved their matching cowboy boots!
